Special Event Announcement
Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium, in cooperation with the Cremation Society of New Hampshire, will sponsor a two-hour public grief seminar on October 28th at 6:00 p.m featuring President and Co-Founder of Grief Inc., Darcie Sims, Ph.D., CGC, CHT.
In addition, Sims will also hold a three-hour seminar on October 29th for hospice care professionals beginning at 10:00 a.m. Both events will be held at the Both events are free of charge, seating is limited to the first 150 registrants. Author of ''Why Are the Casseroles Always Tuna?'' and many more grief and bereavement books and materials, Sims is a bereaved parent, grief management specialist, nationally certified grief counselor, certified pastoral bereavement specialist, and a licensed psychotherapist and hypnotherapist. Specializing in counseling of the grief-stricken and those working in the hospice industry, Sims has co-chaired such events as the 1991 and 1996 World Gathering on Bereavement and keynoted at the 2001 World Gathering.
An internationally recognized speaker, Sims is the coping editor for Bereavement magazine and has served on the national board of directors for The Compassionate Friends and the Association of Death Education and Counseling, as well as the board of trustees for the National Catholic Ministry to the Bereaved.
