Summer: the perfect time to plan ahead
If you've been thinking about pre-planning or even just looking for more information about your options, understanding cremation, or other available services, now is the perfect time.
"In the summer months we are less busy with at-need arrangements allowing us more time to meet with people interested in speaking with us about their pre-arrangement options," says President Buddy Phaneuf. "A lot of people tell us they are curious to learn more about cremation or want to take a tour of our facilities and get too busy or don't inquire until they have to make arrangements for a loved one. Now is the best time to make an appointment or stop in."

Ethical Wills gaining popularity |
What is an Ethical Will? A growing trend that began thousands of years ago as is referenced in both the Hebrew and Christian Bibles, an Ethical Will passes down values, wisdom and personalized messages to family and friends - a message that can live on through generations after you have passed.
'Ethical wills' are not considered legal documents as compared to 'living wills' and your 'last will and testament' which are legal documents.
Today, ethical wills are being written by people at turning points and transitions in their lives and when facing challenging life situations. They are usually shared with family and community while the writer is still alive.
Common themes seen in ethical wills:
- Important personal values and beliefs
- Important spiritual values
- Hopes and blessings for future generations
- Life's lessons
- Love
- Forgiving others and asking for forgiveness
More information can be found at www.ethicalwill.com. Stay tuned for more information about Phaneuf's Ethical Wills"how-to" session in the fall! |
