Finding bliss this February |
|
By Ann Marie Della Fera, MAT, MED
Melanie Tonia Evans, co-creator of Meditation and Self Discovery courses states, “as humans, it is so easy to look outside ourselves for answers.” Whether it is dealing with loss, illness or any other of life’s challenges, we often think its luck, circumstances or the fates directing our lives. But after taking a closer look, you may realize our attitude can change our circumstances. A positive outlook, thought or act can help reverse a pessimistic attitude or situation. Living in the present, making it the best day you can, celebrating friendships, doing whatever it takes to help you face whatever life throws your way.
Some people choose chocolate, others exercise, practice yoga or meditation, others turn to the company of great friends, or peaceful walks in the woods to find peace. The important thing is to find your bliss.
After some initial roadblocks, positive thinking will become a habit. You will discover you are becoming more in charge of your life and your moods. Be active not passive. Is it easy? No one ever promises easy. Every day find something to smile about. Phone a friend, hug a puppy, or do volunteer work. Inner peace comes with time, self-acceptance and persistence. Enjoy each day in some small way.
