Buddy Phaneuf "hosts" new site

If you've visited Phaneuf's online home, www.phaneuf.net lately, you may have been greeted by a familiar face. The newly redesigned website now features a 'live' virtual greeting from President Buddy Phaneuf.

On the homepage, Phaneuf welcomes visitors and walks users through different features on the site including interactive pages with video of recent Community Service Events and his blog.

"It makes our online home almost as personal as visiting our physical locations or calling us on the phone," said Phaneuf. "Plus, its helpful to guide people who may have used our old website to find what they're looking for."

Check it out today! Visit www.phaneuf.net.

Veterans' Day Open House in Boscawen

Join us on Tuesday, November 11 as we welcome the many Veterans and families visiting the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen for Veterans Day. We will have coffee and refreshments and provide tours of our new facility on King Street - en route to the Cemetery. Pardon our appearance! We are still in the process of renovating the building, but we couldn't pass up an opportunity to visit with those that have served their country or loved ones paying their respects.
For more information about our newest location in Boscawen, call 603-796-2528 or email .

Phaneuf joins with Missing in America Project
This past summer, Phaneuf interred 11 Veterans' remains that were previously unclaimed. Buddy Phaneuf, with the help of the director of the NH State Cemetery, Roger Desjardins, researched and secured each Veteran's honorable discharge papers, held a memorial service and laid them to rest.
State coordinators of the Missing in America Project (MIAP), an organization that strives to do the same for every unclaimed veteran in the country, heard about their efforts and contacted Phaneuf.
"We have been working with other funeral homes in the area to give these men and women the honor they deserve," said Bruce Turner, a state coordinator and chaplain. "We are willing to do all the research and paperwork to ensure these Veterans are laid to rest properly."
To date, MIAP has found and interred hundreds of Veterans' unclaimed remains and hopes with Phaneuf's help, to leave no Veteran on a shelf.
"It's a disgrace that anyone who has fought for their country be left behind," Turner said. "I hope someday there's not a need for our work - that all Veterans are accounted for."
